FPV drone repair by mail

A damaged connector, loose wire, or broken component does not always mean replacing an FPV drone. Citadel Drones reviews focused FPV repair jobs from across the United States, with all work based in Wichita, Kansas. Share the aircraft, affected components, and symptoms first. Julian confirms whether the job fits before you arrange shipping.

Wiring and connectors

Accessible wiring and connector soldering are part of our current repair focus. Tell us which connection is damaged and send both a close-up and a wider view of the aircraft. If the connection point has torn away from a circuit board, or the cause of the fault is unclear, say so before treating it as a simple soldering job.

Component replacement

We consider straightforward component replacements with compatible parts and manageable access. Include the existing component model, any replacement you already own, and changes you have made to the build. A matching connector or similar appearance alone does not establish compatibility. Parts and the checks needed after fitting are reviewed before acceptance.

How component replacement is reviewed

Tell us about the build

  • Frame and flight-controller or stack models, if known
  • The affected motor, connector, wire, or other component
  • What happened, what stopped working, and any previous repair attempts
  • Photos of the whole aircraft and the affected area, sent by email
  • Your city and state, any parts you own, and your timing needs

Confirm the repair scope

Advanced circuit-board repair, microsoldering, and unexplained board faults are outside our current focus. We also do not offer internal camera or gimbal repair. An intake request helps us decide whether there is a suitable job here; it is not a promise to repair every FPV build or fault. If the work needs equipment or expertise outside our scope, we explain that before you send the aircraft.

Agree before you ship

Choose U.S. mail-in when you request a repair review. Julian discusses the proposed work, parts, cost, timing, and shipping arrangements before accepting the job. Wait for explicit acceptance and the private shipping instructions. Do not send batteries with your intake shipment. Return arrangements and any changes to the agreed work are discussed for your specific aircraft.

Nationwide mail-in repair process

Repair or replace?

The replacement part is only one part of the decision. Labor, parts availability, shipping both ways, and the condition of the rest of the build affect whether a repair makes sense. We discuss the individual job rather than advertise one price or turnaround for every aircraft. Share a deadline before acceptance so timing can be considered.

Wichita pilots can stay local

Citadel Drones remains a Wichita repair business. Local pilots can discuss a handoff after the work is reviewed and accepted. Nationwide service means sending an approved job to our Wichita bench; it does not mean we operate branches in other cities.
